Not that I'm watching a lot of new tv shows these days, but I think Jessica Jones is the best show I've seen in years. (Well, along with Daredevil. I'm fond of both.)

Just, ah, like everyone else has said, be prepared for some dark, difficult material, because the tone of the show is heavy and Kilgrave is profoundly disturbing and feels like someone who could exist IRL. He's ah...interesting, not so much his motivations because he seems pretty simple and self-centered, but David's acting is terrifying in a way that's...I wouldn't personally say "fun to watch", but yea, "interesting".

Beyond that, it's a solid show (I just realized I've not been bored while watching it...not once. Which almost never happens); the writing, the cast, the directing, the characters, I think they got everything right. JJ feels much more realistic than any of the other MCU projects, at least partially because the characters are all so flawed. If that kind of thing appeals to you, then def give it a shot; I didn't need past half an episode before I was hooked. I don't think you have to watch long to know if you're going to like it or not.
