It's just another example of comic culture and the superhero genre being hostile and violent towards women. Steer clear.

I don't know what the show is doing but the comic it was based on was the opposite of that. Aside from the main character being a woman, Jessica Jones is pretty fierce. The whole point of her story is overcoming what was done to her and ultimately besting the monster that almost ruined her life.

Isn't that basically every radfems dream scenario? Downtrodden and abused woman breaks free from the chains of the patriarchy and defeats the male monster. How is that story hostile towards women?

This is accurate to the show, at least so far (only on episode 4). Jessica Jones is such a strong character. To claim this show is all about glorifying violence against woman is kind of ridiculous.
