A hypothetical.

If you found out that something you did or said was so funny that somebody literally died from laughing so hard at it, how would you feel?

Proud, tbh

Same.

Did you mean to kill them, though?

I'm strongly reminded of Mary Poppins, where the miserable decrepit super-old bank president literally died laughing at Mr. Banks' "wooden leg named smith" joke, but when Mr. Banks was horrified to hear it, the president's son was like "No! Thank you so much! I'd never seen him so happy in his life, that was the best death he could've possibly had!"

If it was like that, I'd be proud.

OTOH, if it was a younger guy who had a heart condition and suffered a massive heart attack from laughing at something I did, or someone who tripped and broke her neck because she was laughing at something I did, I'd feel kind of bad.

I dunno. If it was an older person I'd think that's a good death. For a young person, I'd really have mixed feelings.

I'd feel bad, but would also assume they must have had some other issues that caused the laughter to trigger their untimely death...

Yea, I doubt someone could die from laughing (even extremely hard) unless they already had some kind of health issues.

I'd feel terrible.

(Anonymous) 2015-11-22 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
awful.

(Anonymous) 2015-11-22 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd probably first think "OH SHIT" and then eventually settle into "fuck me, I'm hilarious"

Re: A hypothetical.

(Anonymous) 2015-11-23 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
I think I'd reverse the process, because I'd probably still be laughing at my own joke.

A mix of "I'm an asshole" and "well, at least they died happy."

...I'd laugh?

(Anonymous) 2015-11-23 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
I guess?

A little bit of me would be proud that I'm actually hilarious.

A lot of me would be guilty because I've had close calls where laughing set off my asthma.
