I have never been triggered and in general I don't mind whump!fic or non-con (and I've written bad ending non-con!) but damn does HTP make me so upset and unclean, haha. :(

I don't like it for the same reason I don't like straight up rape fic, there is usually no comfort. It is just a fic meant to excite with rape. I've read non-con fic but I really only read it for the comfort that follows (I skim over the sex).

Also, the idea of it happening to Bucky in particular bothers me. Because he is so dehumanized I find it disturbing that someone would use him that way (I honestly think they would not use him sexually like that).

Yeah, I think it's because they are so hopeless. Like. They're specifically written so that Steve or Bucky (or whever the victim is) is stuck there with no light at the end of the tunnel. It's just too much for me.

And in particular, Bucky, who is such a victim anyway (his entire life is one big tragedy with extreme dehumanization and loss of agency) that it just makes me feel so gross that people look at him and say "YES THIS ONE NEEDS TO BE FURTHER DESTROYED." Which is completely irrational because he's not real but eh. My feelings.
