Are you watching Dragon Ball Super, by any chance? Because there's a lot of great shippy (well, shippy for Dragon Ball) moments in it.

Yessssss, I am eating it up with a spoon. That and I'm enjoying it to see all the characters I love punch bad-guys and stuff.

Punching bad guys is the most important part of Dragon Ball always! (If it isn't you're watching DB wrong imo...)

It's funny, I feel like I almost always go for ships where the shippiness is squeezed into occasional tiny moments in between the real focus of the show a lot more than ships in romantic shows. Probably because so much stuff is glossed over or shown without being explained that they have way more "what happened offscreen?" possibility.

It really is, plus the fights are normally really fun to watch.

I'm kind of the same way, I don't often go for romances or shows that have romance be the Big Thing of the show I instead tend to go for actiony-type shows that have little bits of romance in them(implied or canon). I've never thought about it much but maybe the reasoning for me is the same? More to work with in fanon? Either way I'm loving the little V/B + Trunks we're getting in DBS, it's making me happy.
