Yeah, I am actually pretty impressed. They have his original costume and hairdo and it even looks pretty accurate. The trailer featured FFVII battle music and everything. They showed him fighting with summons and limits.
Plus, it's a fighting game, so at the end of the day there's limited character-ruination moments...

Exactly! I mentioned this in another response, but when I think back Nintendo's actually been very good about every cameo character they've had, so it shouldn't be much of a surprise. It's just nice to be assured that they'll give each franchise the attention to detail people would want to see.

In a way, I almost trust Nintendo with this cameo more than I trust Squeenix with the reboot...
