I actually thought the same thing while I was watching his smash debut trailer. It's nice to see Cloud be kinda goofy and looking like he's trying too hard to be cool. It felt more in tune with the original character, imo.

Ahhh yes this. God, I love goofy Cloud so much, and it was so refreshing to see him actually look like himself.

Square Enix has managed to turn him in to an entirely different character, so Nintendo will be doing better than them if they make him even slightly recognisable, which they seem to be doing so far.
