Mostly I just want more games where you can pet dogs.
EDIT for OP: btw you might be interested in Pom Gets WIFI? You definitely play as a dog, but it might not be exactly like what you're looking for.

I like the idea of being a dog in a video game, but I'm not sure that many people could pull it off in a clever way. Done right, it could be lots of fun!
As for games with dogs, I've only played games where you could have a dog as a party member (Dragon Age: Origins) or games where you could pet them.
...Actually, I know you could briefly control a dog in Dead to Rights (an older game where you could take control of the dog to fit through certain areas that the protagonist couldn't go), but I don't remember how good the game was. The scores seem decent? (I think the dog also attacked your enemies.)

(Anonymous) 2015-11-24 12:55 am (UTC)(link)I also remember hearing about this kind of crime-based game where you play as an anthro dog who's looking for his girlfriend. I don't remember any details aside from the fact kickstarter backers had the option of putting their own dogs in the game as npcs.
Other than what's been mentioned earlier, you can always play Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and only use dog Pokemon as a challenge or something.

I think it was called Home Free? I've got the Kickstarter bookmarked bit there's no website. Shame I didn't know about it earlier, would totally have supported to get my dog in game.
