I had seen a kickstarter a while back about a sandbox game where you can play as a realistic dog in a big city and basically decide your own goals. Want to eat everything you can find? Want to be a bad dog and go around barking at people? Want to make friends with all of the other dogs? You can do whatever you want. I thought it looked pretty cute.

I also remember hearing about this kind of crime-based game where you play as an anthro dog who's looking for his girlfriend. I don't remember any details aside from the fact kickstarter backers had the option of putting their own dogs in the game as npcs.

Other than what's been mentioned earlier, you can always play Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and only use dog Pokemon as a challenge or something.

I think it was called Home Free? I've got the Kickstarter bookmarked bit there's no website. Shame I didn't know about it earlier, would totally have supported to get my dog in game.

Home Free got a trailer! It'll actually be released, unlike a lot of other Kickstarter projects. Also, dat music.

Interesting! I wish the graphics were a whole lot better though. I guess I'm kind of spoiled, but that looks like it was made decades ago.

Seems like it's a kickstarter founded indie game, so I actually think the graphics are beyond expectation. It's actual 3D and looks very clean and smooth. Hopefully you'll learn to embrace it so you can enjoy the game.
