Today was not a good day. I still have a sinus infection so my head is killing me. I was nauseous all night and day. I slept 1 hour. And I'm still feeling too sick to sleep. I'm so tired I'm shaking. I'm just so sick of one health thing after another. I feel like my body may be crashing after three years of law school with basically no break.

I hope you start feeling better soon. Your body might be crashing...stay hydrated and make sure you get enough rest. (Sorry to sound like a Mom, but I do hope you start feeling normal soon!)

More Health Blah

So currently I can't walk properly, grip properly, fine motion control is getting harder and harder, and now I'm finding eating and drinking difficult too (I choke a lot, end up with a sore chest from liquids going down the wrong way).

My doctor attributed this to... stress. But the only thing I'm stressed about is my bad health. I'm quiet and meek so people don't tend to take me seriously. I'm sick of being in pain all the time and everything being a struggle. I'm even more sick of being brushed off by doctors.

I'm sorry, nonnie. That sucks, and it sucks even more that doctors don't believe you. I hope you get it figured out and start getting better soon. I find that in general doctors are less likely to believe chronic pain things.

...Have you seen a neurologist yet? If not, go back to your doctor and insist that you are referred to one. The only way this gets fixed is if you stand up for yourself and make sure you are communicating that something is really wrong.

Mom slipped on a dog toy, and messed up her knee and foot, but won't go to the doctor. >:( I hate is when my parents are like that. They complain about that in each other all the time when neither of them honestly have any damn room to talk.

My sleep pattern has been really weird lately, and I keep having the most WTF dreams.

I dropped my laptop, and it was bad enough they have to replace the hard drive. It's less expensive than having to get a new one, but it's probably going to be like getting a new one, because they are pretty sure they can't save anything that was on there. That actually isn't that bad because everything that was on there came off my desktop to begin with, but it's driving me nuts not having it.

I have writers block, and everything I try to draw looks like crap.

I somehow managed to sleep until 3 PM today, which left me 30 minutes to eat and get ready for work at 4.

I didn't get time to do anything at all besides work today and I'm so behind on everything from studying to NaNo to just being a social human being. I'm just so stressed out, and I guess that's how I managed to sleep that long, and really I just hate myself right now. I can't wait for Christmas and for both school and work to be over for awhile.

Everyone on my dashboard is playing it and I'm really tempted but I just am so turned off that your character has to have a child. I don't mind the mandatory get starter romance because hey, you can romance whoever you want in the game so whatever. But the fact that you absolutely have to have a child kind off pisses me off. I don't hate children, but I hate the thought of having children of my own and throwing a kid at me in a game that is supposed to be all about ~individual player choices~ basically kills all interest I have in the game.

I realized today I can't romance Deacon and I am very sad about this.

The starter scenario is a little... They did a good job on the storytelling imo, but for the kind of games these are - Bethesda sandbox - it's jarring that the introduction is so firmly boxed in. I don't mind it, because almost thirty hours later I've nearly forgotten what the hell the main plot is or why I care, because Wasteland Death Mama needs her some more junked gears for home defense. But I also completely understand the confusion and distaste regarding it.

If I get the chance to play the game I definitely will, kid or no, but I wish the story was different too. (I mean...if the protagonist has to have a kid, why can't you still be a gay couple? I know the game uses the character models to create a kid, but they could give you a random child in place of that one and I doubt anyone would care.)

Being forced to play as a bi or heterosexual character kind of irritates me. (The fact that all the LI's seem to be bisexual and that there's a lesbian couple in the beginning makes it hard to head-canon that your character could be trying to hide their sexuality because of social stigma. And honestly...most my characters would probably be bi anyway, but having the option to be gay is nice!)

So, yea, not a big fan of the game giving you less customization in that way, but a lot of people are enjoying the game so if you can look past that it's probably worth a shot.

Yuck. I'm sorry. Me too. Headaches are the worst. I find heat helps some. I either put a heating pad on it or take a hot shower. Benadryl will usually help for me, though I'm too tired right now to take it.

Public school's out all this week for Thanksgiving, but Mommy has a college class, so what does she do? She takes her little girl to school with her. And leaves her sitting out in the hallway, unattended.

Cute kid. I thought I was going to have to call campus police until I could get out of her where exactly her mom was and for how long.

We've had adults kidnapped off this campus. Gah. Why would you do this?

I had a classmate who would do this. She couldn't afford daycare and her daughter was about seven, so she would tell the little girl to sit in the hall while she was in class. The professor found out, spoke to the mom, and asked us if we would be all right with having a child sit with us in class. Nobody objected and the girl sat next to her mom during class for the rest of the winter break. She was a quiet little kid though and she just did the homework her teacher had assigned for break or colored something. I'm sure it would've been different if the little girl had been an annoying brat or if the class had been on a more mature subject.

We had students who'd bring their kids into the computer lab with them. Where we were trying to write papers. Fun times. /Sarcasm

There's a rule on our campus that parents cannot bring their children. Period. I wouldn't want small children in my classroom every day, but if there's a circumstance where the only alternative for the parent is staying at home, there's no reason to not bring in their child. Before this rule, any kids who came with Mom or Dad were well-behaved. We don't discuss anything in my class that would be too shocking for a child (and once, an 11 year old took the quiz over the reading with the rest of the students and was the only one to get all the questions right).

Facebook's relationship status field discriminates against polyamourous people since it doesn't let you list multiple partners if you're in a relationship with several people.

This bothers me even though I don't have multiple partners, as I do identify as non-monogamous.

I know my rant is silly but I'm just peeved that I can never find a video of my favorite SpongeBob Squarepants episode that isn't either a half-assed edit to add excessive profanity instead of leaving the creative censor in, or someone else watching it and talking over it, usually blurting profanities over the creative censor.

I just want the episode in its pure creatively-censored format, without commentary from some jackass.

I never know when to shows are going to go on random hiatus things where you don't get an episode for a few weeks because school break??? Makes no sense to me then I miss when it starts and accidentally fall behind. :/

I live opposite a place that has those giant stadium lights and guess where they point?
It's north facing too, so I got to experience the sun rising right in my face.

The earliest I can have new blackouts is december. For now I have cardboard boxes and bits of paper.

The world doesn't have problems superimposing the French flag on their Facebook profile pic but when attacks happen in Israel, usually only Jewish people (and pro-Israel evangelical Christians) superimpose the Israeli flag over their pic...NO ONE ELSE. :( And that sucks.
