Haven't seen this show/episode (though I've certainly heard about the controversy surrounding it!), but I don't think that's necessarily a surprising reaction. One can be pro-choice and still find the actual idea of having an abortion sad or upsetting. Even if most women wind up not regretting the decision itself (which appears to be the case based on research)...well, given the circumstances and reasons that often lead to women having abortions, that can still make the idea a sad and upsetting thing in a lot of ways, too.

And I don't know if Olivia dealt with this at all, but if you're going to a clinic and getting shouted at and insulted by protesters as you make your way inside, that doesn't exactly add to the good feelings, either. Plus, it's like any other medical procedure-some people can handle seeing those play out better than others (mind, I'm guessing this show didn't go into graphic detail, but still, just the knowing can make one squeamish all the same).
