It's really hard to explain. It's that when looking at her, I just often don't buy she's been through what she's supposed to have been through?

With Steve, Bucky, Bruce, and even Tony...even when the're composed, there's just thing world-weariness, you can see they have a history even if they're not actively doing a scene about that history.

I don't have that feeling with ScarJo. she just feels so "light". And yeah you can rationalize it by saying she's really good at what she does, but still.

I had moment in CA:TWS when it did work for me, but not at all times.

And even if you'd make the argument that maybe they don't direct women that well...well, I didn't have that with Wanda. MCU Wanda feel "younger" than the vibe I get from the comics, but she feels genuine to me.

Huh. It's interesting, because I feel the opposite - I found Wanda lacking weight.
Maybe it's really that I find them doing less good of a job directing the women in general, really... though I do really enjoy ScarJo as Black Widow, overall (though I hated what they did with her in AoU)

wow, i never really thought about it but now that you mention it... she is quite light on the role. and it would have been interesting to see someone more world-weary in the role
