This makes great gifts and unlike most fudge recipes, it's super easy. No need for a thermometer or anything! You can package it with some candy canes to make it more festive. Plastic holiday boxes or treat bags from the Dollar Store also helps dress it up.

Easy Fudge

3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Line a 8" or 9" square baking pan with foil or pachment paper and set aside.

In a medium saucepan, melt the chocolate chips with the sweetened condensed milk and salt over medium heat. Stir frequently to make sure it's not sticking and burning. When the mixture is smooth and glossy (you'll see the texture change as you stir), add in the vanilla and stir to mix. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and chill for at least 2-3 hours or overnight.

Variations: To make chocolate mint fudge, use 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 1 tsp. peppermint extract.

Would someone you need gifts for appreciate self-made rock candy? You can dye them with food coloring and/or flavor them with stuff like vanilla or ginger. Great gifts for tea enthusiasts and incredibly easy to make. I'm making some for my aunt this year.
