Doesn't the movie start with the S02 kids being, what looks like, murdered in the digital world to a happy morning scene in the real world?

I didn't take it as that, even when I saw the gifs. Even if they were BTFO'd, I don't think they're dead.

And I would think the agency keeping tabs on them would somehow either they were dead and if they were, why would they still appear on the computer screen if they were? I would assume the names wouldn't be there or they would say deceased or something.

And despite wanting to forget the epilogue ever happened, it did show the 02 kids as adults, with kids.
