Re: Holiday Shopping Thread

A couple of years ago I had NO money and I'm shit a crafting, too. I gave my relatives all little boxes that I found at thrift stores, and filled them with little 'fortune cookie' messages. Some of the messages were things that I liked about them, some were memories, others were just words of encouragement. I could personalize each person's present based on how we interacted (like my grandma's was mostly memory stuff and what I loved about her, but my cousin got a lot of messages that were quotes from our favorite shows). It didn't cost much (about 10 dollars for the boxes and I got some nice thick paper to write the messages on), and everyone liked them. They do come with a rule: you can't read the messages all at once. I wrote fifty messages for each person, and told them that they had to save the messages for when they were feeling down or having a bad day.
