I love how adorkably like a cross between Barry Allen and Felicity Smoak she is. XD Kara Danvers FTW.

Excuse you, the original Superman film with Christopher Reeve is a masterpiece.

I think it is okay, but I don't really love the take on Clark as a character. It has this idea that Clark is the mask, and that is more Batman's thing. For Batman, Bruce is the mask. But Superman is the mask and Clark is the real person.

For 1978 yeah. And I still love it.

But it's outdated, both when it comes to the characterization of Supes/Clark/Lois/Luthor, and when it comes to the special effects. And it's not like it would have to come out of nowhere either - there's a lot of excellent post-1978 Supes comics material that could be adapted wonderfully for a movie, but no movie or TV show ever capitalized on. (Lois & Clark did some good stuff with the Daily Planet side of things, but not with much of the plots or superheroing parts.)

I've only seen an episode or two(I am sooooo behind), but yeah I enjoyed it. It's just un-apologetically fun.

I kind of agree with you, OP. I think there are strengths of different versions, but none that got it perfectly. I think Lois and Clark had the best take on the characters, but no so much on the plotting. Smallville had some interesting bits to it and were a good take on his childhood, but not so much as the show went on. And original Superman 1 and 2 were fun and were good on the action and superhero stuff, but I don't really like the take on the characters (except Lex and Zod). Superman returns was better with Lois but worse with Clark and the plot was kind of dull and repetitive. And the Lois has a boyfriend and kid plot was stupid.

I think Supergirl has its problems, but I do think it is really good so far.

I love that show. It is my personal favorite Superman thing even if the plotting wasn't great. The characters are so spot on, and the chemistry is brilliant. My favorite Lois and my favorite Clark by a whole lot. I have the dvds, and I'm not actually having the urge to rewatch.

It's not fair to compare, it's not like it's an either or situation. Just enjoy Supergirl for what it is and maybe one day in the future Clark will get his turn.

Yeah, I am actually pleasantly surprised by how much I'm enjoying it :) the plotting could be a bit stronger, but still, overall it's fun.
