Fiction kins are an insta NOPE to me when I consider if I should follow someone or not.
One of my mutuals has turned into a full blown one and the 'About me' page alone makes me want to bang my head against a wall: ~Don't follow me if we're the same kin type~, ~Please don't call my kin 'your son/husband' in your tags it makes me uncomfortable~ ect with 52005920 uwu next to them.
(Ofc the kin also has the same mental illnesses/disorders she has. And it's all canon, she will ~fight you on this~)
I want to unfollow but I also kind of want to see to what heights that insanity can go.

There was definitely drama, wank, cruelness and general dumbness in the old fandom days, too ... but it does kind of feel like that it got worse over the years. Probably more people of all ages have a constant internet connection and fandom is more connected in general.
It does seem like people take things about characters/ships more PERSONAL now, though? As in, you're not allowed to dislike a character unless you give 295020502 logical reasons (if not you're probably some kind of bigot) or the other way around applies where your favorite (often totally harmless) character is suddenly an abusive asshole and you shouldn't like them. And then both sides argue in circles on both sides about the same freaking character they somehow ALL have a completely different view of.

But... that episode was better when it was that Futurama episode where Fry had to play Space Invaders to the exact same Rush song.

(Also, there were a lot of other good Chuck episodes. Right up until it threw itself off a cliff at the end of S2...)

Only joined FR several months ago, but I loved it pretty hard. But now I'm already worn out and need a break from it. There's not exactly a ton of dailies, but there's a lot to do in regards to making your own fun (eg: breeding projects, gening, economy, collecting, communitying...).

I'd be fine just staring at my lair too. And keeping baldwin maxed for the next update, but that's one of those less actively time consuming things I like and don't mind.

How do you even check for repeats anyway? I mean, maybe the more recent double posts are easy to remember, but do you keep a stash of all of them on a hard drive somewhere and run a comparison tool or something?
