How is OPs secret anything like you described?
OP was perfectly reasonable and respectful about her criticisms with the movie.

Er, I think the commenter's rant wasn't directed at the OP, but in response to a line from the secret:

"But I'm starting to resent the way social justice awareness has ruined my love of some things."

So it's not an asspull. The opening was already there. The poster is actually agreeing with the OP, from my interpretation.

Of course, I may be hideously wrong. :p

NAYRT, but...

Woman needs a man's help for something? "What, she can't take care of herself?"
Woman helps a man out of a situation? "LOL Typical always having to help them find their own asses."
Woman reacts emotionally motion in a time of stress or fear? "OMFG Women are not ruled by their ovaries!"
Woman shows no emotion? "Sigh, no one can write realistic women..."
Woman is put in a dangerous position because of her line of work? "Here we go, fridging again."
Woman is kept out of harm's way? "OH SURE, she's such a delicate little flower that she has to be protected AT ALL TIMES?!"

And so on and so forth.

Same anon from a few posts above, while I do think that attitude is pretty stupid, I've only seen it applied that harshly to only a handful of female characters over the years. (Natasha from AOU is the only big recent one I can think of.)
