After typing this out it might be a little triggery / spoilery, so it's going in a second comment.

The basic premise seems to be that all things being equal, if Gus had been white, then all the people who are into BFF ships would be all over it and would make it more popular than the rivalry ship of Shawn/Lassie. The fact that Gus being black does not interest these people means racism.

However, couldn't you also argue that if Gus had been white and overweight or quirky looking, these people would be equally uninterested? Isn't it just a preference at that point? Is not being interested in shipping a black character racist? I wasn't in the fandom but I haven't heard of wide-spread Gus-bashing from the Lassie/Shawn crowd (could obviously be wrong about this though) so it's not like they objected to his character being in the show. They just don't ship him.

I have a beautiful pelt, so naturally I want to show it off. At present I have my top two buttons undone, but I don't feel people are getting the full effect but in the same breath I don't think I dare go to three for fear of becoming a lounge-lizard type. I mean, it's three buttons then the next stage is having a medallion nestled in my chest hair and then I'm a creep, right? Or am I not right? What is appropriate?

So I posted about Mom injuring her leg recently, which is still bad enough that she won't be able to make Thanksgiving dinner this year. Dad was going to make spaghetti instead, which I thought was fine. He went to the store to pick up a few additional things to make it more Thanksgiving-ish, and came home with a fucking turkey.

My dad is going to try and cook a fucking turkey. Dad's dinner nights throughout my entire childhood have been either takeout, or things like spaghetti and hamburger helper. I have no idea how this is going to turn out. wish me luck.

Relaxing stuff!

I just had a 12 hour work day which consisted of heavy labor. I had to pull 27 pallets of merchandise into our building, it took an hour and my hands are blistered! And then I had to process 30-40 boxes of stuff to be shipped to Amazon (each box which is taped, flipped, opened, labeled, taped, and moved) weighs about 50 pounds. So my body is exhausted but my mind is buzzing.

What are some good shows/movies or videos to get me relaxed? Or music or games even!
