With me it's...weird. I don't act young because fandom. With me it's that I am chronologically behind by about 5 years on people my age...emotionally we're talking more like 8-10. And it shows. So fandom isn't the cause, it's more like one of the results of not being in the same life phase as the people around me. It's liberating to operate in an environment where you're not constantly judged about what you *should* be like instead of what you are like. In some ways it's not so fundamentally different from when I was 16.
