I have a beautiful pelt, so naturally I want to show it off. At present I have my top two buttons undone, but I don't feel people are getting the full effect but in the same breath I don't think I dare go to three for fear of becoming a lounge-lizard type. I mean, it's three buttons then the next stage is having a medallion nestled in my chest hair and then I'm a creep, right? Or am I not right? What is appropriate?

As little as possible, out of courtesy for other people.

It's gross, no one wants to see it, and yeah, you would look like a lounge lizard.

As someone who appreciates chest hair: unbutton as many as you'd unbutton if you were one of the hairless masses. Two ish sounds good. Any more and you'd make everyone feel bad.

depends on the shirt. if wearing a dress shirt i'd say a safe 2 buttons.

but if you're in a hawaiian shirt go full magnun p.i. and undo 3 or 4

This thread is very relevant to my interests. Two buttons. One to two, actually, depending on the shirt. It shouldn't be open lower than right below the collar bones. Just the tiniest peak of pelt. More than that is most obscene and should only be revealed in the bedroom. Preferably mine.

Two buttons sounds about good. Just enough to hint, not enough to give it all away. Rock your chest hair, OP.

One of my friends had a rule:

It's okay to have chest hair, but I wouldn't date a guy who's proud of it.

I get that rule, and it comes to mind now.

Whatever feels comfortable, anon! Unless you have to dress a little nicer (where one or two buttons is okay, depending on the shirt) or actual work-level formality (cover it all). Do whatever you like!
