Basically, someone drew that face on Cell from DBZ. "I'mma chargin mah lazer" "I'mma firin mah lazer" and "shoop da whoop" all originated from this image/4chan. It stuck as a meme, mostly on /b/ but it's branched out to the other corners of the internets and now it's more irritating than anything.

I really have no idea why the OP hates it and loses respect for anyone that does it. Not all Channers are complete tards, we just act like them, because NOT EVERYTHING is serious business. It's really a waste of energy to hate something like this. Hate the war, hate terrorists, hate rapists - throw your dislike into something much more deserving than a stupid macro.

I still find it funny, though.

The WONDERFUL thing about 4chan is the fact that we can LAUGH at shit like this. There are so many things inherently wrong with the world. War, rape, RACISM, &c - and we all laugh at it. Why? Uh, yes, I am completely aware of that, as I am one of those people. I didn't understand why the OP gets butthurt over it...there are many reasons why someone could get butthurt over it. It just pisses them off, it's a racist reference, etc etc.

Just because I said "It could be taken as a racist reference" doesn't automatically = ignorance, sry2say. Most people don't know that it's a racist reference. The only ignorance here was that I wasn't aware of OPs reasoning. I also do not go to /b/ anymore, it was fun while I attended, but I've moved on and kept the ability to tell lulz from not lulz.

Not rly defending the "honor" of the meme, but defending the honor of being able to laugh at something normally not funny and not being labeled something bad, other than just a huge dork. But, thanks for feeding into my bait ;D Was a lot of fun.

my problem isn't that it's racist, it's that people are denying that it's racist. people on /b/ know that they say a lot of racist shit, but they do it because it's /b/ and shock value is king. if you deny the racism, it loses its shock value, this negating the entire point of /b/.

i don't need to be taken seriously by the tards at a comm like fs. i just want people to be educated about the memes they are laughing about, not telling them to stop laughing. if you are laughing at something and don't get 'why' then the meme dies.

if someone doesn't see racism in that meme (whether they think it is subversive or satire or not), or how it could be considered offensive, they are seriously too dumb to be on the internet.

Not going OMG NOT RACIST, but uh, a lot of people in other places have no idea about blackface. Australians didn't have a huge exposure to that sort of thing, and many young people just have no idea what it is. (I was at a party once where someone tried to explain their SHOOP t-shirt. Then they had to explain what blackface was. Then they had to explain what minstrel shows were. Not one person knew what the hell he was talking about. Aaaawkwarrrrd.)

Not all places will have equal knowledge of America's history. Just sayin'.

Reminds me of the controversy surrounding an old Stone Temple Pilots song - Sex Type Thing - where the lyrics are clearly about rape, though the rapist's eyes. I remember Scott Weiland wearing a dress one time they performed it; the point of the song wasn't to endorse rape.
