NAYRT - Well, yeah, but the OP is saying (or at least I think they're saying) that people know they're obviously trying to do something else and instead of waiting for the person to be done or asking politely if they have a minute, they're forcing OP to pay attention.

yes, that was what i meant. this person passive aggressively pesters without directly asking for attention until you give in and either engage or leave the room. they do it to everyone, not just me.

1) It is 100% possible to communicate in a non passive aggressive way.
2) Trying to involve someone in a group activity* when they clearly do not want to participate is douchey.


* Although since when is watching TV or or a video on one's computer a "group activity"?
