How is this series/what is it about? The covers don't look all that good, you're right, but I had to laugh because they reminded me immediately of a series I read by Tara Janzen:

I think the silhouette look on covers is so boring. :/

Lol That cover's hilarious. XD

The series is about a girl who can communicate with ghosts and she helps many of them go to the afterlife, sometimes by kicking their butts. There's a weird romance angle with a ghost and some supernatural elements, but it's a fun series. I just really hate those type of clip art-y covers.

For the first four, these are actually the second printing covers, when Meg Cabot put her own name on the series instead of her pseudonym. I don't think the old covers had people at all
