Anon, I feel the same. I prefer to see those two as platonic as well.

It also doesn't help that I'm in the Asgoriel camp and want to see Asgore and Toriel come back together.

DA, but I guess it's because I feel bad for Asgore? He did some shitty stuff but his child and adopted child died, that's gonna make you go a little nuts. I don't think it would be an instant forgiveness sort of thing from Toriel's side but more of a "maybe one day" ship.
