Not only is it punny on the "kiss starts with K" front, it also works on the ad level of "get your girl some Kay jewelry and there'll be kisses (and more) in your future!"

It's a great slogan.

That's actually not what intriguing said at all tho. They commented on the pun half the slogan. The only thing tbey said about the other half was that it was a slogan. They offered not one bit of expanded commentary on it.

I just don't know what you think they thought, if they didn't realize that the literal slogan was "buy jewelry, get kiss". Is there another meaning that I'm missing, pun aside?
