Does anyone NOT have bad periods/PMS?

(Anonymous) 2015-12-01 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
Just wondering

My boobs inflate about half a cup size and get kind of sensitive.

That's it. I used to have really bad cramps and leg aches (especially those ones in the upper inner thighs) when I was 14-15 but not for a long time.

Mine aren't especially bad or anything. The first day or two I like having some ibuprofen, but I can deal without.

Eh. Mine is regular. I can get bad cramps sometimes but a steady schedule of ibuprofen can stop that. I get a bit bloated as well but nothing changes about my boobs.

Mine aren't that bad. I get a little crabby and bloated-feeling, but my cramps have never been bad and my flow's not super-heavy or anything. Usually if I just make sure I go out and do something fun on my first couple of days, that'll get me through it.

You mean like sometimes or like never? 'Cause there are times when I'm mildly inconvenienced and then there are times when I want to forcibly extract my insides with a fork. It varies, you know?

Mine is really heavy the first two days which is annoying and I get minor cramps but it's nothing like the horror show I hear some other people deal with.

I think any negativity I experience I could avoid if I was better about eating a little more sensibly and exercising more. When I exercise consistently and sleep well a few days before PMS kicks in, I have almost no symptoms.

Even at its worst for me, it only messes with me for the first two days. Some Pamprin or Midol is all I need to stop the symptoms though. The worst for me is irritability a week beforehand, and exercise helps with that too.

I've had a few bad ones, but I don't get cramps every time, and not nearly as badly as some people do (I mean, I can still go about my life with them, though I don't like them).

I don't think PMS affects me that much, aside from occasional bouts of anger, but I usually end up hurting myself rather than being grouchy to other people, so I don't really fit the stereotype of women being nasty when they have PMS. Sometimes the pain from cramps makes me act in an unpleasant way.

I don't break out or get weird food cravings and I don't have really heavy periods.

My periods are mostly fine, I just get a bit more emotional some months before and have a little more pain at the start, but nothing crippling.

People without uterus I'd imagine /snrk

My periods are comparatively pretty mild? I don't bleed a lot and I very rarely get PMS... but I also spent the first two days shitting myself, and often the pain will keep me up.

Me. My biggest complaint is that I have a short cycle, so I have periods more often than those lucky lucky people who have long cycles. But they're relatively light, and I've never ever noticed any PMS issues whatsoever - no bloating, no mood swings, nada. I guess I've occasionally had cramps, but a Tylenol or two will take the edge off and I certainly don't miss any work.

It depends. If I get my period every month, I just get some cramping and feel a little lightheaded for the first few days, but that's it. If I skip a month or two, then it's hell.

Typically I don't, but then I am able to plan for them, and treat symptoms as they happen.

My only issue is that I've been so out of shape lately that any strenuous workout ends in me spotting. It's so annoying.

I used to thru my teen years/early twenties. Mid-twenties and on they've been wonderful and short. Still painful, but I can deal with that if it's only a day and a half

Mine are really easy. Just a little ache, but nothing that affects my mood. I don't need ibuprofen though I'll occasionally take it if it's there.

Off BC, I have some terrible cramps where I end up on the couch curled up for like 15 minutes. Though that's usually just the first day or two. Boobs get really tender and I get constipated badly.

On BC, my cramps are more manageable. Boobs and constipation are still the same though.

Over all, my periods have been pretty manageable. And I'm always regular.

I usually don't. I'll have maybe a day of cramps but it's nothing that some Aleve can't take care of easily. The only bad part is when I'm off my birth control for it (I take my BC for three months straight before having a period) because I tend to get a bad headache on that first Sunday. Probably due to the lack of estrogen. But if I pre-medicate with some Aleve, I'm usually good.

As I said in the other period thread - I only get a dull lower back ache. My biggest annoyance during periods are that they're messy.

Not really.

When I'm not on birth control, my PMS can range from "one grouchy day" to "week of exaggerated mood swings" depending on the month. Once I went on it, it's pretty much been limited to the single grouchy day. And my cramps are generally only bad on the first day, whether I'm on the pill or not, and I can usually manage them with ibuprofen.

I did have cripplingly bad cramps during high school - I'd have to ask the teacher if I could go to the nurse's office and lie down for my "stomachache." Though looking back, I'm not sure if the pain eased up or if my pain tolerance got better as I got older. Either way I'm pretty good now about jumping on the painkillers as soon as I realize I've started, and it doesn't disrupt my life much anymore. Of course, birth control making it more regular helps, too. No more forgetting and bleeding all over everything, yay!

When I was on the pill, it wasn't so bad. I still had to deal with tender, aching nipples before it started, and then mild cramping and nausea during. But now that I'm off the pill, the symptoms are more severe and my flow is much heavier. The mood swings are worse, too. I'm usually a pretty stoic, unemotional person so when I start weeping at commercials or feel homicidal for no reason, it reminds me that oh yeah, my period's coming soon. I fucking hate PMS jokes because if men actually experienced their emotions getting jerked around by hormonal surges, they probably wouldn't find it so damn funny then.

I still feel really fortunate that I've never had to deal with the period shits (because ugh!) or really bad cramping, because I've had friends who spent the majority of their periods groaning in the fetal position, or friends whose flow lasted a whole frigging WEEK.

Mine are like nothing, literally. I bleed for four days, very regularly once a month, and fairly lightly I presume, as even on my heaviest day I never have to take out my tampon before the recommended eight-hour limit. And that's it. No PMS, no physical pain, no discomfort even, no bloating, nothing.

I used to bleed a bit heavier before I went on BC, but the difference was minimal. I also used to get horny the week before my period, but the BC crushed my libido. So for me, the BC actually made something I liked about my cycle go away. :(

Mine's never that bad.

I have a short cycle with minimum cramps.
