That's not how it's actually going down, don't be disingenuous.

So how is it going down? Deets?

Stoya posted a comment on twitter about how he raped her with literally no proof.

The friend then said she knew that Stoya was lying but "Everyone asking for my head: It is more important for society to believe women and sex workers than it is for me to defend one friend."

Yikes.

what kind of proof could Stoya possibly have given

especially since the specific scenario mentioned was that she tried to safe word out and he kept fucking her

Yeah like... I don't really have a stance, but idk what kind of evidence Stoya could have presented? I also don't know how this other lady could know FOR SURE he never ignored her safeword. What kind of proof COULD be presented either way?

"proof"

????????

What the hell "proof" are you supposed to have? How do you prove you've been raped if you've been kept silent on it for as long as she has?

Well then that's too bad for her but like in any other case, it's "innocent until proven guilty" and if you have no physical proof, it's word against word and there is no basis to believe one over the other.

Innocent before proven guilty is purely a legal standard. Also "not guilty" is different from "innocent".

Second I agree it is wise not to treat any conclusions as definite. But we don't just have their words - we have our reason and judgment and experience.

Third even on the most restrictive argument you're still a very long way from saying it definitely didn't happen.
