Right, got it, cool.

In fact, looking at what I said, it kind of seemed like I was saying you might not know things other women know, which wasn't great of me and I apologize.

I guess I sometimes wonder if everybody, including cis women, know that plenty of women have mild periods. Because so much of the talk is about how awful they are, to the point where sometimes I start to wonder if I'm this weird, rare, lucky person. I mean, apart from the thread that sprung up below in response to this one, I've never seen a conversation where women talk about how low-key and painless their periods are. I guess because it's not like it's something we need to vent or get moral support for.

But I expressed it kinda badly.

It's all good, don't worry about it. I got what you were trying to say!

And yeah, I think you kind of hit the nail on the head-- not to sink to clichés, but misery loves company, so it makes sense that people with shitty periods will band together to commiserate about it and lend support, where I suppose there isn't as much to say about an easy one.
