My knee-jerk reaction to anything declaring to the world that they love being something soooooo much and here are all the reasons why, is that oh boy, that person is insecure and defensive about that thing and needs to let everyone know it.

The topic of this particular one happens to be about being fat, but it could be about anything else and I'd still think the same.

More so if it comes with a heavy-handed dose of "unlike those other people, I am above doing these negative things."

Pretty much. The those other people are the closed minded ones thing is just hypocrisy.
