Does she really look the part? I agree about the acting, sadly, and her "witty lines" are just not that witty or well-delivered. I've only watched the pilot though.

KR was a professional model, I think. She's very striking.

In the comics, the artist seemed to be trying to make a point of JJ being ordinary-looking. So the TV version is definitely a Hollywood interpretation of the character.

I... think she looks painfully thin. It makes me jump every time I see caps of her. I guess the professional model think makes more sense of it. But honestly, a fatsuit to bring her towards looking halfway average might have helped her resemble JJ just a bit. :/

I was honestly never under the impression that Jessica is supposed to be witty in the series. It isn't really her character. Is she like that in the comics?

I don't know but in the series she has a dry humor at times. "And now for the matter of your payment" after punching a guy through a pane of glass isn't exactly a clever comeback but probably meant to draw a laugh or make us like her.
