Well, I don't watch a ton of television (I TRY to, then fall behind on most of it) so there's plenty of shows I haven't seen and probably won't see. I've (mostly) enjoyed the MCU so far though, I like superheroes, and the idea of a female one starring in a show that I could binge watch was appealing to me. (Even more so since this show was supposed to have the same vibe to it that Daredevil did, and I adored Daredevil. It got me excited for JJ.)

I'm not going to say JJ is the best show on tv, but it suited my tastes perfectly and it didn't take much to get me hooked.

But I also thought Krysten was a very believable, flawed character and that appealed to me; I liked her in the role. As for David, he was a spectacular Kilgrave; I can't imagine anyone else playing that character now. (By far the most terrifying villain in the MCU for me, as well as...pretty much anywhere. I can't 'like' him, but David deserves props.)
