I hate thinking about these decisions because it's just impossible to know how the future child will feel about their disability. I've had people tell me they would rather die than live like I do, but overall I like my life and I'm glad I'm here. But someone else with the same problems might feel the same way as the people who are horrified to hear the details. I wish people would stop acting like there's a clear line dividing things that anyone can handle and things that obviously no one would want to live with. It's more complicated than that and it bothers me when people turn it into a black and white issue where either it's always wrong to abort or it's always cruel to carry a pregnancy to term knowing the child will have some debilitating problem.
