Aaand there it is. "and she's hot" is always played off as the last point by you fucking guys. Like "She's all those other things, and also, not like it matters or anything, she's hot" like it's not a big fucking deal, but have you ever noticed how many of your favourite characters have the reasons for you liking them end with "and she's hot". You might pretend that the the other reasons are the only important ones and "Oh, it just so happens that she's also hot, but it's not like it matters to me or anything so I'll just stick it on the end there". If she was a fucking burns victim or obese, do you really think your list would even exist? No. it wouldn't mens brains just don't seem to work that way so you act like "and she's hot" is an inconsequential end to the list, but it's not. Its the reason you have that list in the first place

It is a big fucking deal and it's fucking gross and it needs to change. You need to change. Grow up and join the rest of us.

LOL, so am I supposed to be blind or something? I could explain many reasons why I like Harley Quinn as a character, from previous versions (I couldn't really say about Suicide Squad Harley yet, since I obviously haven't seen it). I also think the Harley in Suicide Squad is very attractive and sexy, and hope that they portray her character well. I even sort of want to cosplay as her because I want to feel that sexy, but I don't want to cosplay something before knowing whether the movie sucks or not!

There are lots of female characters who I think are great characters and find attractive, and many more who adore but am not attracted to. It's not wrong to find people/characters attractive...

You are supposed to not be lesbian. That you sexualize women objectifies women, don't you know. I'm pretty sure that's where the SJW movement is going now, anybody attracted to conventionally attractive people is keeping the patriarchy going.

Also uou could always go with the Arkham games Harely for cosplay. Most people liked Arkham City though I personally always thought Akrham Knight was the better design, not including the original animated series costume...

I like some characters just because they are hot. This is not an exclusively male thing, and there is nothing wrong with it. It is certainly possible to be creepy about it. But there is nothing wrong with liking a character just because they are hot.

except that it feeds into the rotten core of our cultural problems in the treatment of women: You are ONLY allowed to like women if the're hot. Sure, one person who say's "I only like her because she's hot" is a pig but otherwise not really a problem, but we don't have that. we have a chorus of millions of voices chanting that as the background music to ever film, tv show and real life interaction women face. I know you know this, why are you fighting me here?

There is a difference between criticizing society's judgment of women based only on their looks and criticizing an individual person for finding a character hot. I will a thousand percent agree with the former. But I'm not going to do the latter because people are allowed to have sexuality and find things hot.

And especially I'm not going to judge because I'm the same way. Would Thor be my favorite Avenger if he wasn't hot? Not a chance. Would Willow be one of my favorite Buffy characters if I didn't find her attractive? No, actually I didn't even like her that much until I started being attracted to her.

What I won't do is say that media should cater to my attraction and only give me characters I find hot. That's wrong. That's the problem: men (and women) saying that because they find these women hot there should only ever be hot women on their screen. But the actual attraction is not wrong.

What do you think society is made up of? It's not some fucking creature spawned out of some hell dimension. It is made up of millions of individual people doing the same shit. How do you envision changing society without correcting the people doing the behaviours? I know I'm coming across as angry tonight, but I really do want to know.

Again, I think the problem is people thinking the media should only put attractive people on screen, not actually being attracted.

Do you think everyone is suddenly going to become asexual or blind? Sexual attraction is a thing for people of all genders.

And you know what, a big problem in society is also telling girls they aren't visual and don't have a sexuality except as it relates to men and being hot for men. So I'm going to be proud of my sexuality and not hide the fact that I like visuals and find some characters of both genders hot.

Those are my reasons for seeing some of the shittiest movies, but if it has Karl Urban or Hugh Jackman in it, and especially if they show off skin, I'm there.
