Could be a problem specific to Tumblr. Back in the days this could have been avoided by trashtalking your NOTPs within the privacy of a locked LJ post, or at least on a ship-centric community. Obviously wank still erupted when people decided to go on the warpath, but still, why do I get the feeling nowadays a lot of people just don't even care what or how they tag their posts? When Steve/Bucky started gaining popularity and usurping Steve/Tony (to my vindictive glee), I was really disappointed to go into the tag and find fellow fans expressing said glee and tagging the posts 'stony'. Then they have the gall to act shocked and offended when they get hate. This is just obvious shit-stirring behavior, why is it hard to understand?
