I can kind of relate. I've got a name that I'd really like to give a female cat, but I'm saving it until I can find a silver spotted cat.

In the meantime, though, I've adopted a tuxedo cat, gave her a different name, and I'm just as happy with her. (She's sitting on my lap right now.)

Do you have to name your cat after this fandom character right this instant? If you really want a cat, just get a cat you seem to click with. There's not really a shelf-life on name usage, after all.
