Aren't promoting and pushing the same thing...? The wording confused me (and I'm a native speaker...), but I assume OP is talking about them down-playing/pushing ASIDE the non-Disney properties...?

That confused me, too. After a while I came to the same conclusion as you, but I'm not familiar with the workings of Marvel, who owns what property or anything so I still can't be sure.

I figured that too, OP is trying to say Disney is pushing aside the properties it doesn't own and promoting the ones it does.

And yeah I'm with the OP on this one. Obviously it sucks, but it's business. Besides its not like the X-Men and FF have been completely eliminated from Marvel they're just not in the spotlight as much. I mean FFS Reed, Sue and Doom all have huge roles in Secret Wars, and I'm pretty sure Marvel doesn't own them.
