Re: AO3 Tagging

(Anonymous) 2015-12-08 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
I am writing a fic I consider to be gen, about a character who is married. The fic contains scenes of their relationship and they love each other, but the husband is very much in the background. Should I say it is gen or m/f?

I ask because I mostly like to read gen, but searching by the gen tag on AO3 is absolutely useless because people seem to put it on every fic that might have five words that aren't directly about the featured ship. It can be very frustrating.
