It bugs me when every character swears in the same fashion. During some boredom-induced listening spree, I marathoned the Leviathan podcast book thing, and it's like the author for this can not think of a single way to express distress, surprise, or anger about anything without a character going, "What the fuck are you doing!? What the fuck is this?! What the fucking that the that this yadda yadda etc."

Like, dude, get a bit more creative and give your characters some kind of differentiating voice because it gets especially glaring during their edgy moments.

^^^^ That's a big problem with profanity-heavy works. I think one solution would be to divide who says what. Everyone has a favorite swear word or two (my first word as a baby was literally "shit," thanks grandpa) so just split it up like that. Save "motherfucker" for the really edgy, annoying character.
