I hear you, anon --

and not for any of the Tennant Fangirl reasons people are giving above: that he's too-fawned over by a certain fannish subset, or that he's just especially good in his episodes or performance.

I think of Tennant as a "cold" actor: sharp and intense in their performance, but also lacking the ability of projecting true empathy. I'm simply not drawn to those actors (Matt Smith had warmth in spades, and Eccleston could shift from one scene to the next from warm to cold; both I liked).
