Don't you look at the track list before clicking on a mix?

(Anonymous) 2015-12-09 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think you can do that on 8tracks.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-10 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
Huh. Since I usually find mixes on Tumblr first, I look at the tracks on the post even if they're hosted on 8tracks.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-10 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
da
I find a lot of mixes on 8tracks itself ad a lot of them don't link to a track listing. Though you can skip tracks on 8tracks, so there is that.

People enjoy thing that I do not, news at 11

(Anonymous) 2015-12-10 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Oh no, how dare OP not like your fave song.

How. Dare. They.

(See how easily what you're doing here can go both ways? Now get the fuck over yourself.)

I hate to say it but I just never liked the song in the first place.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-10 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
Im a big old lesbian and I hate this song tbh. Its so BORING.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-10 01:22 am (UTC)(link)

Secrets like this always make me roll my eyes.

"If you Florence and the Machine, you have poor taste!!"

"Coldplay should NEVER be on a fanmix."

"Radioactive is SO over used."

Blah blah blah.

You don't like? Make your own and use music that is never used. Those songs tend to speak to people, hence why they get used a lot.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-10 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
why are you so offended by people having opinions that differ from yours?
otakugal15: (Default)

[personal profile] otakugal15 2015-12-10 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
Because it's always over the most minute things. Fanmixes will always have shared songs. Either deal with it or make some unique snowflake fanmix of your own and stop whinging about it.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-10 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
this is a secret comm, its literally all whining, chill

We need some more popular songs that are explicitly about f/f relationships so the novelty will wear off this one.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-10 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
Hear hear. Maybe some upbeat ones, that would be nice.

Yeah upbeat ones would be nice. That's part of why I like Mary Lambert's Secrets better. The line "I can't think straight, I'm so gay" just makes me happy (especially the fact that it played on mainstream radio), even though that's not the main focus of the song.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-10 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
I still love Jill Soubule's I Kissed A Girl. Much more than Katy Perry's.

mte

i'd love me some lesbian dance music

What about...

(Anonymous) 2015-12-10 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiaYDPRedWQ

?

Yeah, it's stupid, but it's also obviously about a girl lusting after her female friend. The "kitty" double entendre just adds to the gay.

Re: What about...

(Anonymous) 2015-12-10 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
Was this actually popular? I never heard it on the radio or anything, but I don't listen to thaaat much radio so idk.

IMO Cool For the Summer was not a bad girl/girl song that showed up on the radio, even if it was just basically a way more tolerable "I Kissed a Girl"

There aren't that many explicitly f/f songs, OP. It's understandable that people latch onto it.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-10 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly

(Anonymous) 2015-12-10 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
"Come on Petunia" is the only lesbianish song that's ever done it for me.

...which means 75% of this comm would probably find it creepy as hell.
