If you want to avoid the movie theatre, do it because everything is ridiculously overpriced and stupid and of shitty quality, not because you're afraid some asshole is going to shoot up the place.

Hell, any guy could shoot up any place that you decide to go. Technically, the movies aren't any safer than the grocery store or church or even your neighborhood.

If you just don't want to miss a movie, there's always Netflix or Redbox. You'll have to wait a few months but at least you'll save some cash.

There's a risk to everything. The risk with being too afraid to do something is that you miss out.
