I've listened to the whole soundtrack and watched what I could, and I have to say, I don't get the hype at all.

It may be personal taste but I didn't like that many of the songs (maybe 2 or 3) and when I'm really into a musical I usually like all the songs or near all of them.

The story was fine but nothing remarkable.

It may be something I need to see live but most of my fav musicals were able to grab me before I was ever able to see a performance, so I'm not super motivated to see this.

That's very true. That's also why I prefer people not overhype things for me or act like I'm crazy when I don't like something. Hamilton fandom has being doing both lately.

All fandoms are crazy. This shit is in no way particular to Hamilton fandom.

I mean, I know people are going to get salty about it and it's going to become an awful, draining fight, because that's what literally always happens, but still. I'm going to keep enjoying it as long as I can.

Yes and that's always something I've disliked about fandom. I think people should be able to have different opinions without meltdowns happening. I enjoy reading different viewpoints but things always turn into personal attacks and it's kind of ridiculous when it's all about personal opinions about hobbies.
