I'll be a bad fan with you, because the last season was my favourite one since Davies' run, and I outright adored the last 3 episodes. Those were all I ever wanted from Doctor Who.

While I like Matt Smith, I hated everything about the timey-wimey-fun-for-toddlers-don't-need-explanation-or-overarching-storyline-episodes.

I enjoyed the darker tone the series took too, but Clara's suicidal tendencies made me really sad, especially after Danny told her to get on with her life in the Christmas special. I couldn't help empathizing with her. Sometimes, when someone close to you dies, a part of you does want to follow them, even when you have a good support system and are surrounded by people who love you. You could be having the time of your life and then something will remind you of that person and you'll feel almost guilty for having so much fun when that person is dead, so you push yourself harder to forget. You keep going without pause because it hurts too much to remember. At least, that's the way I interpreted her character and why she kept acting so reckless.

I just like Capaldi and 12, period.

I do wonder a bit about Clara's body and her parents. Does Clara just go inexplicably missing as far as her parents know or do they find out she's dead. Did Ashildr/Me and the folks in Daigon Alley the street dump her body out on the normal street? Did the Doctor inform them somehow? (He met them but didn't really know them the way he knew Jackie Tyler or Brian Williams.)

Yeah, I love Capaldi and Clara, and I think series 9 was amazing, probably the best in a while. :)

I like the dark themes and enjoy 12 but the only thing that bothers me about Who going dark is that they don't follow through with it.

Like the consequences to actions don't seem to always happen or they get brushed off or forgiven too quickly. I know Who still needs to remain a certain level of light hearted fun but if you're going to go there- fucking go there. Don't have Clara forgive the Doctor so easily or visa versa.

And just knowing Moffat's track record it's hard to even believe it when someone "dies" and that also kills some of the darker storylines for me because I never really believe anyone is dead.
