Male superheroes always seem to take a weird almost sexual glee in commiting violence against women. Almost as much as male comic creators take in showing it.

Jessica, however, has rage issues so I do kinda see where that comes from.

Lol. The man is going because men are evil. The woman is doing it because she is a poor precious weak baby with a terrible past. ;_;

(Anonymous) 2015-12-11 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Where did you get weak baby from? She's a trauma survivor with anger issues and super powers. Seriously can women just not fucking win with you people? She's either a Mary Sue or a Weak Baby

i'm pretty sure that anon was just mocking the attitude of the person they replied to instead of the character herself.

ayrt

(Anonymous) 2015-12-12 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. I just find it funny that anon I was referring to was trying to make excuses for JJ beating up on some woman.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-12 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
Aka women do bad things for reasons and men do bad things just because that's how they are.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-12 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
I know you're being facetious to op but this really is my experience of the world

(Anonymous) 2015-12-12 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
Just so we know, anon, troll or moron?

(Anonymous) 2015-12-12 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
Feminist.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-12 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
Troll, then.

I'd say "nice try", but I'd be lying.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-12 08:56 am (UTC)(link)
Or possibly has actual experience, but let's just dismiss that by using feminist as an inaccurate insult because "wah, men have been INSULTED hdu" and we'll all feel better and not have to think about it any more.

Good job.

Interestingly, this is one of the circumstances in which "lived experience" is an extremely bad guide, since the person is question is simply describing a well-known cognitive bias.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Actor%E2%80%93observer_asymmetry

In other words, "I and people like me do something because circumstances make us do it; Other people do something because of their intrinsic nature" is part of EVERYONE'S lived experience, and it's horseshit.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-12 01:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Oddly, many men experience the opposite. I wonder why that is? Could both of you be missing something?

(Anonymous) 2015-12-12 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
What are some examples of this?
