I am a little curious about it myself.

I mean, from any sort of normal person standpoint, things like, say Neville being thrown out a window would be Very Bad And Abusive, but kids in the wizarding world seem to be a lot hardier, so while it's still abusive, it might not be as bad?

I know that's a bd aexample, but you get what I mean?

IIRC that was accidental anyway - his uncle, I believe, got distracted and accidentally dropped him. Though he was trying to get Neville to fly or something...
