I'm a bit sick of Christmas. My dashboard is 70% Christmas-related posts and since I follow a lot of writing and prompt blogs, all the prompts are currently all 'So like, imagine if your OTP were each other's Secret Santa OMG' and it's kind of annoying.

I get that Christmas is a really important holiday for a lot of people though so idk how entitled I am to feel this way. I don't mind my town being decorated for Christmas or anything like that, it's just that with my dash like that and people going away for the holidays and giving me pitying looks when I say I don't celebrate Christmas, I'm going a bit mad.

God, I feel this. Though for me, it's more that I'm a sad, irritable person who gets pissy if people are yelling about something for an extended period of time. I've had to take a step back from tumblin' because of how annoying it's been. October-December are annoying months on that platform...

Hopefully blacklisting has been somewhat helpful for you?

boy do I feel you. I don't celebrate either and the sheer pervasiveness of it would drive anyone mad. You're not alone.

I prefer Thanksgiving to Christmas. Less hassle, less consumerism, less annoying music.

Christmas is okay, but consumerism has ruined it.

I do celebrate Christmas (or at least my fmaily does) and I'm sick of the hype anyways. I wish it could be back to be a very private thing.
