This is such an uninteresting argument to me, honestly.

Safe spaces clearly have a purpose in specific contexts. Equally clearly, there are places where safe spaces are really stupid. It doesn't seem like a hard question to me to figure out when; I don't think that we really need a better principle than common sense to deal with this issue.
