I dunno, in the original, JP, it seems to me that it takes place over a very short (like few hours) period of time. I mean, I've gone the whole day at work and not had to pee, so I could see why they wouldn't need to.

I think the original JP takes place over about 24 hours? They arrive, they look around, the kids get there, they go for the tour, mayhem, darkness, sleeping with dinosaurs, then heroic stuff from Dr. Sattler and Ian lounging around half-shirtless and then running! fighting!! rescue!!!

I do now, however, recall anyone using the bathroom except for the lawyer, who ran into one to hide and was then eaten.

Well, half the cast of JP was in a building that probably had bathrooms, and the other half was in/near a forest and a large outdoor plain, so I assume they went there.

Well, sure, but the OP and others seemed to be saying 'they don't show that stuff' in movies and they didn't show that in JP, either. Are we confusing each other?

Kind of hard to say! They look like short pants, but I can't remember if he wore short pants before this scene or not.
