YES THIS thanks for articulating it in a way I never could.

It's not like seeing those kind of mental health posts are off-putting, or that I think "ugh this doesn't apply to me so it shouldn't exist", it's just...awkward.

More awkward than wandering into the wrong classroom though. More like...accidentally wandering into an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting while I'm trying to find the band room.

And the sometimes not-so-subtle implications that only people who have some trauma of this kind are truly sensitive, creative, perceptive and feeling people, and the rest of us are just superficial, materialist know-nothings.
